We want to say a massive thankyou to you, for your help, contribution and assistance to ‘The Festival of Lights and Motion’ that took place at Clyde Quay Wharf -mid June-mid July- and which culminated in our ‘Night Light Bike Parade’ on July 16th, around the Wellington Waterfront. The whole event was a great success, involving numerous Primary Schools, volunteers, neighbours, family and friends.

We were interviewed on “Evenings with Bryan Crump” on RNZ, ‘Amplifier with Don Luchito” on RadioActive, features on John Campbell’s RNZ show ‘Checkpoint’ and in various local newspapers and social media pages. Our event was shared hundreds of times on Facebook and we estimated that at least 200+ people came along to participate in the “Night Light Bike Ride” and many others came along as spectators.

Lucid Dream Bicycle Laboratory is creative laboratory of bicycle innovation, art,  on the Wellington waterfront, a multiple week project engaging with local artists, inventors and enthusiasts of all ages, to build 7 beautiful bicycle floats for a spectacular series of night bicycle parades on the 15th and 16th of July.

We are working  local artists, businesses, schools and the public of Wellington for a collaborative adventure in light, sound and movement in the middle of winter on what we want to be an annual event that shows off the city’s  bicycle creativity .
